David Fluhr, CAS, Re-recording Mixer, was recently presented with the Sound Award at the 2015 Jackson Hole Wildlife Awards for his work on DisneyNature’s “Monkey Kingdom”. The JHW Film Festival recognizes the best work in wildlife and nature films each year. David has been part of the Disney family since January 2004. Throughout his career, David has been recognized with nine Emmy awards (35 nominations); several MPSE Awards and nominations, three HPA nominations, and three CAS Sound Mixing Awards- most recently for “Big Hero 6”, and “Frozen”. David is currently working on the Disney Feature Animation mix for “Zootopia”, releasing in March 2016. Soon after he will be supervising the mix for next DisneyNature film “Born in China”, which follows three families of animals in China and is set to release in 2016.
